The compilation of this plan merely served to confirm that Orione Care Ireland remains
a person centred organisation with a dedicated forward thinking workforce whose passion
for the work they do is worthy of both acknowledgement and pride.
In considering the next four years from 2020 to 2024 it is clear that there are significant
challenges both in relation to housing and homelessness in Ireland and in the ways that
Orione Care Ireland might make its most effective contribution towards alleviating the current
housing and homelessness crisis in Ireland.
While developing this plan we have sought to look to the future and how the Sons of Divine
Providence/Orione Care Ireland in partnership with Dublin City Council will aim to deliver new
social housing in the years ahead. We will ensure the delivery of much needed new social
homes for Senior Citizens and those in need through innovation and collaboration.
The Sons of Divine Providence and Orione Care Ireland believe that the vision and
recommended actions set out in this document will enable us to continue to provide our
current services, including our Day Centre service in partnership with the HSE to a very high
standard whilst, at the same time, progressing a major new initiative on our site at Lower
